The Zambia Association on Employment for Persons with Disabilities (ZAEPD) is a parent based Non- Governmental Organization for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Organization’s primary objective is the promotion of vocational skills training and employment opportunities in the labour market for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
ZAEPD has been working with the Government through the Ministry of Technology and Science (MoTS) which provides 100% bursaries for Persons with Intellectual disabilities to enrol for vocational skills training in the Teveta accredited institutions.
The CADIR project will run from 2025 to 2029, and will be implemented in Lusaka, Central, Southern, Copperbelt, and Eastern of Zambia by the partners.
In that regard, the consortium has placed premium emphasis on collaborations among the partners in a bid to strengthen the lobby and advocacy work towards disability rights for persons with disabilities.
Additionally, the CADIR project also encourages partners within the consortium to conduct co-joint activities especially in operation areas where they are present and reporting of activities will be done together through the joint Results Framework and other reporting template.
